Our new exhibit, Victorian Pastimes: Games of Yesteryear is now on display!
Inspired by the Hunter’s extensive puzzle and game collection and the mental and emotional effects of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in our communities, this exhibit highlights the rise and transformation of the American board game industry and the use of gaming in the home for comfort during times of hardship. We hope you will enjoy the collections on display and being at home with the Hunters this summer.
Advanced registration is required for touring the museum.
We are open Wednesday-Saturday.
You can call us at (757) 623-9814 or email email@example.com
to inquire about specific days and times.
Anyone who is on our grounds is required to use a face covering, unless they fall into the categories excluded by the state mandate (small children, health reasons, etc.). This is not the case for any teas or special programs where eating is involved, as this is exempted in the state’s mandate. We will offer our popular tea times. Teas will be announced via social media, email, and our event cards in the mail. Reservations will be limited to ensure we can space parties apart correctly. You may be given the option to take tea in a covered area of the garden or in other rooms of the home besides the usual front and back parlors. Staffing for our events will also be limited and all staff will wear masks. Hand sanitizer will be present on the first and second floor for guests to use.
Please see our events page for dates for teas and other programs.
