Group Afternoon Tea
The Hunter House Victorian Museum is delighted to offer availability for private afternoon teas and tours for nonprofit groups, alumni organizations, garden clubs, heritage-based organizations, book clubs, or social gatherings.
Your event is held during a 2-hour time period and includes:
- A tea tray of three sandwiches, three sweets, a scone, and hot tea with lemon, cream, and sugar
- Your tea will be followed by a tour of the facility’s first and second floors featuring the Hunter family’s original furnishings and collections
- You can opt out of the tour option if you would prefer to spend your 2-hour time block visiting with your guests
We can accommodate groups of up to 24 people inside the house across two rooms, the front and back parlors. If the weather is nice, you are welcome to opt-in to hosting tea outside in our garden.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate dietary requests at this time. We can offer a vegetarian accommodation if desired, but cannot accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, allergen-free, or vegan diets.

In addition to afternoon teas and tours for groups, we are delighted to offer the option of afternoon tea birthday parties for both children and adults. These events include all of the above items described for groups, with an added option of having a character at your gathering. We have partnered with Art of Enchantment: Characters and Events (https://www.facebook.com/enchantmentishere/) to offer this option to personalize your afternoon tea time. You are welcome to bring your own cake and ice cream. We will supply the chairs, tables, tablecloths, dishware, and other decorations. Craft time can also be added with your chosen character.
Our staff and vendors are trained to support all individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, behavioral issues, and intellectual disabilities. Please know differently-abled adults and children will always be welcome to celebrate here.
Prices vary by needs and amount of guests, starting at $35 per person ($30 member price) for groups of 6 or more. You can add the option of adding a special character to your event for an additional fee. Please email Sallie Whitney at email@example.com for more information and to check availability.
