Thanks to volunteers, Miss Eloise’s request to have her family home opened to the public can be realized. The daily tours offered through the museum are given by volunteers. The background of these volunteers range from mothers at home with preschoolers to practicing art therapists. All volunteers bring one element to the museum – their interest in and enthusiasm for the Victorian Era.
The Hunter House Victorian Museum is pleased to offer unpaid internships to Undergraduate and Graduate students in the Hampton Roads area. Students may choose to personalize their experiences to fit their schedules and their interests. Internships last for one semester with the option of college credit. Should the student choose to pursue credit, a program will be arranged in conjunction with the rules and regulations of his/her educational program.
