Our Museum Director and Museum Experience Coordinator are visiting the Virginia State Capital with the Virginia Association of Museums to lobby for state funding for museums today. Harriet Cornelia Hunter, affectionately known as Hattie, is the middle Hunter child. We have the smallest amount of information on her compared to the other Hunter children, but we do have a collection of her canes. It is recorded that she had one leg that was substantially shorter than the other. We ❤️ our docents! This is our lovely docent, Kathryn, who has been working tirelessly on the weekends in our archives. We are so very blessed with talented and dedicated docents like her. It’s a brutally cold day in our garden today. Stay safe and warm out there! Assorted pieces of Hunter baby dolls. One of our silly docents examining a Hunter family card game 💛
